    Es sind nur noch wenige Tage bis Mario und ich in die Dolomiten aufbrechen werden, um am 11. The North Face Lavaredo Ultra Trail teilzunehmen. Noch nie bin ich so eine lange Strecke am Stück über eine Zeit von vielleicht sogar zwei Nächten gelaufen. Mario hingegen hat bereits im letzten Jahr mit dem erfolgreichen Finish des Zugspitz Ultratrails die 100-Kilometer-Marke geknackt. Eine Herausforderung ist nicht nur die Länge der Strecke, die vielen Anstiege oder die reinen Höhenmeter – nein – die eigentliche Herausforderung ist, unsere Konzentration über 20 Stunden (oder länger) Laufzeit aufrechtzuerhalten.

    In der Theorie läuft man ja immer von Verpflegungsstation zu Verpflegungsstation, also man teilt sich das Rennen in kleinere, überschaubare Abschnitte ein. Wenn das bei einem 50, 60 oder 80 Kilometer langen Lauf klappt – dann wird das auch für 120 Kilometer funktionieren, meint Mario.

    Ich bin schon ziemlich nervös, aber auch voller Vorfreude. Damit ich in meiner Aufregung nichts Wichtiges vergesse, haben Mario und ich gemeinsam generalstabsmäßig Packlisten geschrieben, sowie Fotos von zurecht gelegter Ausrüstung hin und her geschickt.

    Genau wie bei einem Ultra Lauf unterteile ich auch das Packen in einzelne Stationen, bzw. Situationen und habe in meiner großen Tasche die einzelnen Beutel mit Kleidung und Ausrüstung, die ich zu verschiedenen Zeitpunkten benötige. Meine Packlisten möchte ich hier gerne mit euch teilen

    Hoffentlich ist der Dropbag des Veranstalters so groß, dass all meine Sachen und vor allen Dingen mein Essen hinein passt.

    Zum Glück bin ich nicht die einzige, die jede Menge zu Essen mitschleppt. Marios Tasche ist auch gut mit Leckereien gefüllt.

    Meine Devise beim Packen ist: Lieber zu viel als zu wenig mitnehmen, wenn man nicht am Platz sparen muss! Denn wir haben ja nur einen Versuch. Und der soll klappen. Mario sagt immer:„Alles Kopfsache!“ – vielleicht zu einfach, aber der Kopf muss es wollen. Und wir wollen finishen!

    Ein ganz großes Dankeschön sagen wir Steve Auch von uptothetop.de und Jürgen Niebling: Ihr beiden habt uns durch eure detaillierten Berichte, gerade in Punkto Renntaktik, Streckenbeschaffenheit, Schuhwahl, Rahmenbedingungen und Essen aus euren persönlichen Erfahrungen wertvolle Tipps weitergegeben.

    Steve hat sich sogar die Arbeit gemacht und aus unseren Statistiken der bisherigen Läufe die vermutliche Zielzeit ausgerechnet 😉

    Jetzt haben wir es in der Hand und in den Beinen – ganz sicher aber fest im Kopf!

      Hihi…du sagst es: Jetzt liegt es in eurer Hand!
      Ich bin mir sicher, dass ihr das schafft und das es ein unvergessliches Erlebnis wird. Ich wünsche euch alles alles Gute und ganz viel Spaß, stabiles Wetter und die richtige Renneinteilung.
      Geht den Start langsam an und arbeitet euch gemütlich nach vorne. Am ersten Trail/Anstieg stockt es, aber danach kann man gut überholen. Der erste Downhill ist steil, lasst euch Zeit, danach kommt eine breite Forststraße zum “Zeit gut machen”. Dann hat sich das Feld sowieso super verteilt und alles ist gut.
      Findet bergauf euer Tempo mit wenig Licht und dreht bergab die Lupine auf und lasst es laufen (aber nicht überpacen) ;-).
      Ich weiß noch, dass es nach der zweiten VP ziemlich zapfig wurde. Da habe ich sogar mein langes Shirt angezogen, aber mit der Zeit ging das wieder.
      Die lange Gerade zum Drop-Bag wird hart, aber wenn ihr zusammen lauft, dann könnt ihr euch wunderbar motivieren.
      Immer einen Fuß vor den anderen…von VP zu VP und dann bis ins Ziel!

      Genießt es…ich bin jetzt schon auf euren Bericht gespannt!

        Huhu liebe Steffi, Mensch! Erst war ich zu nervös und hibbelig, um mich um eine Antwort zu kümmern und dann kam schon wieder so viel anderer Kram ins Leben..
        Ganz vielen Dank für deine Aufmerksamkeit. Der Käse hat im Kühlschrank geruht. Und der Batman Buff muss immer mit, wenns schwierig werden könnte.
